Humihiram ng charger, napatay ng bata!

A 10-year-old boy’s curiosity about a firearm his father brought home proved fatal for his 15-year-old neighbor, who he accidentally shot in Davao City Monday night.

Radio dzRH reported Tuesday the incident occurred at 8:15 p.m. Monday at the suspect’s house along McArthur Highway in Davao City’s Calinan district.

The fatality, initially identified as Jason, succumbed to a gunshot wound in the chest. The suspect was brought to the custody of the city police’s Women’s and Children’s Desk.

Initial investigation showed Jason went to the 10-year-old suspect's house to borrow a phone charger.

The boy went to his father’s room where the charger was kept inside a bag.

But when he saw the homemade Magnum-357 gun inside his father’s bag, he took it out and accidentally pulled the trigger. The bullet hit Jason in the chest.

Calinan police head Senior Inspector Ariel Acala theorized the boy may have been curious about the gun and tried to handle it, but it accidentally went off.

Acala also said further investigation showed the 10-year-old’s father brought home the firearm after seeing it abandoned in a cargo truck. — LBG/RSJ, GMANews.TV

Eating Brown Rice Lowers Diabetes Risk

NEW YORK - People who eat brown rice or other whole grains seem to have a lower risk of developing diabetes than those who eat white rice, according to a US study.
A team of researchers from the Harvard School of Public Health and Brigham and Women's Hospital analyzed about 200,000 adults followed for up to 22 years and found eating more refined white rice was associated with a higher risk of type 2 diabetes.
Type 2 diabetes is characterized by high blood sugar levels caused by a body's inability to process sugar properly and is often linked to obesity and poor diet. The illness can sometimes be controlled through diet and exercise but may require drugs.
"In general, the public should pay special attention to their carbohydrate intake and try to replace refined carbohydrates, including white rice, with whole grains," researcher Dr. Qi Sun told Reuters Health.
Current US dietary guidelines recommend that at least half of carbohydrates in the diet come from whole grains.
More Americans are eating rice, Sun and colleagues note in their report published in the Archives of Internal Medicine.
According to the US Department of Agriculture, rice consumption has shot up more than threefold since the 1930s.
However, most of the rice eaten by Americans is refined white rice, which is stripped of its fiber, vitamins and minerals in the refining process and is more likely to fuel an increase in blood sugar.
The researchers assessed rice intake and diabetes risk among nearly 40,000 men and more than 157,000 women in three long-running studies.
Altogether, 10,507 of them developed type 2 diabetes.
Across all three studies, having more white rice in the diet was associated with an elevated risk of type 2 diabetes.
The researchers estimate that replacing one third of a serving of white rice daily (about 50 grams) with the same amount of brown rice could lower a person's risk of getting type 2 diabetes by 16 percent.
They further estimate that replacing white rice with whole grains as a group could be associated with a risk reduction as great as 36 percent.
Sun pointed out that they adjusted for numerous factors that might influence the results and the findings still held up but added that it was possible that eating more brown rice was a marker for a healthier lifestyle.
"We adjusted for these factors including body adiposity (fat), smoking, physical activity, and other dietary factors, and the significant associations remained. This suggests that what we observed is unlikely the result of other factors," said Sun.

There were times that I want to believe what Mayweather said that Manny Pacquiao was the one who wanted to avoid fighting him by turning down his request of an olympic-style drug testing.

Holy Talk: Iglesia Ni Cristo vs Roman Catholic Debate

I am fond of reading Bible and engaging in informal debate and bible sharing.
Normally, the two persons in debate tried to show proofs or verses of the Bible in different versions just to back up their claims, arguments or beliefs. Then whenever one uses a questionable verse in proving something, the other one tries to show or prove that the verse he used is erroneously translated. I haven’t yet witness a debate that one of the debater tried to deceive the audience, his opponents or the moderator by changing a page of certain version ofthe Bible, not until I found this video:

The debate was held on August 5, 2006. The Iglesia ni Cristo was represented by Brother Ramil Parba while the Roman Catholic Church was represented by Mr. Talibong. Usually, in formal debates the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines is represented by one of the members of the Catholic Defender.
What happened is that during the show down, Mr. Talibong argued that he can read a verse that clearly said that Christ build the Holy Apostolic Roman Catholic Church. The verse is Matthew 16:18 in the Confraternity Bible. The only problem is that the Catholic Defenders changed the page where the Matt. 16:18 was printed with the page they wrote by themselves.
The original text of the Matt 16:18 of the Confraternity Version goes: “…. I will build my church…” What the Catholic Defenders did was changed that part to: “… I will build my Holy Apostolic Catholic Roman Church…”
And just like what Brother Parba cried, it’s really a deception!

World's Most Leaning Tower Named

When it comes to leaning, Italy's Leaning Tower of Pisa can no longer claim to going the furthest.
That honor goes to the Capital Gate building in Abu Dhabi, which was recently certified as being the "World's Furthest Leaning Man-made Tower" by Guinness World Records, according to reports. The building leans at 18 degrees, which is nearly five times that of the Tower of Pisa, which leans at 4 degrees.
However, unlike the Tower of Pisa, the 35-story, 525-foot Capital Gate tower was built to lean 18 degrees westward. So, how did they do it? According to Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company, who developed the tower, the building's floor plates are stacked vertically until the 12th floor, after which point they are "staggered over each other by between 300mm to 1400mm." ADNEC says Capital Gate also features "the world's first known use of a 'pre-cambered' core, which contains more than 15,000 cubic meters of concrete reinforced with 10,000 tons of steel."
The building, which boasts on its website that it is "designed to provide no symmetry so it amazes inside and outside," is being touted as an iconic tower for the Emirates' capital, symbolizing the city's vision of the future. "Capital Gate is a landmark development for Abu Dhabi and with this recognition the tower takes its place among the world's great buildings. It is a signature building which speaks of the foresight of the emirate," ADNEC's Chairman Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan said in a statement.
The United Arab Emirates is no stranger to signature buildings, having unveiled the world's tallest skyscraper, the Burj Khalifa, in Dubai in January. The Capital Gate tower is scheduled to be completed later this year.

Robert Kiyosaki says that “money isn’t real, it is just an idea.” I do believe in what Kiyosaki claims. Money is just an idea. If you have an idea, you can create money! It’s as simple as that! Therefore, I definitely agree that knowledge is power!
Ideas can be turn into fortunes and that is why we have intellectual property rights to protect established brands, trademarks and ideas. Money comes from different ideas and concepts.
We are now living in the information age and it allows some individuals to get ridiculously rich from nothing more than ideas and agreements. Just ask people who trade stocks for a living. Ask people who are into full time blogging and search engine optimization. Personally, I have a friend who made more than $11,000 in one day through the internet! Can you imagine that?!
Today, it’s not at all out of the ordinary for millions to be made instantaneously out of nothing. By nothing, I mean no money was exchanged. You will be surprised about young people creating more money than you. . Deals are clinched with a hand signal in a trading pit, a blip on a trader’s screen, a call to a broker to buy and a second call a few moments later to sell. Money doesn’t change hands in these transactions—agreements do.
Kiyosaki told that there are three ways to create money:

Finding an opportunity that everyone else has missed. A lot of articles that I’ve read points out to the current recession as the right time for young investors who have a huge amount of cash to invest in assets such as stocks and real estate properties. Why? It’s because the value of these assets are considered distressed. If you are a young investor with a good amount of money to invest, then you have a lot of time before retirement and therefore you can ride the volatility of these investments.
The same thing as what happened to the friend of Kiyosaki. His friend bought a rundown house that nobody else wanted. He tore the house down, subdivided the property into five lots, and within two months sold the whole package to a builder for $75,000—three times what he’d paid for it.
Learning how to raise money. The average person only goes to the bank to deposit their hard earned money in savings accounts and time deposits. That’s what all they know to grow their money. But there are many ways to raise money that don’t require a bank. Let’s say you want to buy a piece of investment real estate but you don’t have the cash for a down payment. You might be able to take out an equity loan on your home, or obtain seller financing, or sell your idea to an “angel,” or form a group of investors to purchase the property. If there’s a will and a promising financial deal, there’s a way.

Why Savers Are Losers?

One of the most liberal idea of famous Rich Dad Poor Dad author Robert Kiyosaki is that SAVERS are LOSERS! Yes, you’ve heard it right, Kiyosaki said that savers are losers! You may think that this is in contrast with the notion of personal finance as it talks about saving money but no it isn’t.

Tactics are “techniques” to reach the goal earlier than the rest and thus, it is imperative to study these techniques to win the game.
In achieving financial freedom, it’s not always sufficient to just save for money. That’s why Kiyosaki said Savers are Losers. One must know how to invest their money to fight inflation. The very goal of investing is to have an additional income because the value of our money decreases as an effect of inflation. The value of your money today is not the same as the value of your money one month ago because of inflation.
Savers are losers because they only know how to save money in the bank through bank deposits which give them very little interest income not even enough to outgrow inflation. One must build several assets that are income producing to become passive income earner. Therefore, savings should be used to invest in assets. By assets, I mean those investment vehicles that puts in money into your pocket.
Savers are losers because they deprive themselves of the comforts that money can buy. It may seem conflicting but what Kiyosaki really mean is that we should know how to properly invest our money to have passive income and use this passive buy our wants, preventing ourselves from deprivation.

Did you know that blogs that are focused on finance talks earn more money that those bloggers who talk about make money online? Of course, making money online depends on the person who are making money online. Making Money Online with Adsense

Adsense is an ad publishing program owned by Google which uses the page content in deciding what ads should be displayed. It utilizes the Google search engines capability in searching webpages. The ads that would be displayed on a particular webpage will depend on the keywords content of the page, user geographical location, and other factors considered by the Adsense algorithm, thus making the ads more relevant to the content of the webpages where the adsense code is installed.
The ads displayed by the Adsense code are coming from the advertisements of users enrolled with Google Adwords. The publishers will earn in CPC or cost per click of the ads displayed.
There are factors that affect the price per clicks for the clicks generated by an adsense ad. Two of these factors are: Advertisers� Competition; and the Adsense CTR.

(1) Advertisers Competition

The minimum CPC of a particular ad is $0.01. This price will rise when advertisers compete on certain keywords.
For example:
As an advertiser or member of the Google Adword, I will set my ad campaign for the keyword �Money� to $0.01 per click. However, there are already 10 members of the Google Adwords who set their ad campaign for that same keyword, �Money�. So, in order for my campaign to be prioritized byGoogle Adword�s system, I will set my price higher than the other advertisers. But other advertisers will do the same� thus raising the CPC of the ads for that certain keyword.
In other words, the more advertisers are competing on particular keyword, the higher is the price (CPC) for that ad. And the higher the CPC for the ads to be displayed for that certain keyword, the higher the income of the publishers publishing ads for that certain keywords.

(2) CTR or Click Through Rate

Click Through Rate (CTR) is a percentage of the clicks generated over the total impression. It can be calculated by dividing the number of clicks generated by the total impression.
Normally, the higher CTR of the ads, means the higher income for the publishers because high CTR really means that there are lots of clicks generated over the impressions.
I am not really sure how the CTR affects the price of the clicks generated on ads. But some expert said that Google charges something to Adsense publishers who generated high impressions for the ads displayed at their websites but those ads received only few clicks. In other words, once theadsense generated low CTR, then Google will lower the CPC of the adsense displayed on certain Adsense account.

How to Start Making Money with Adsense?

Well, if you already have existing websites or blogs, then just visit the Google Adsense page and signup for an account.
But those who still don�t have websites or blogs, you need to create first. The website should contain atleast 10 webpages with contents and the language used should be supported by the GoogleAdsense terms. Once you already have your own website or blogs, so visit the Google Adsense page and signup for an account.
After sending your application to the Adsense Management Team, then just wait for their response because they will review first your application. If you qualify, Google Adsense Team will send you email telling you about this and giving you some instruction to start publishing the adsense ads.

An income of $10 a day from Kontera In-Text ads, I think, is already fine and I don’t consider it a “good luck” but just a product of hardwork.

Actually, the things you need to do to earn money from adsense and other ad-network, are also the things you need to do to earn much from Kontera ads. You need to publish more quality content at your website or blog, and drive tons of traffic into your blog or website. Displaying affiliate ads. These ads are served by online stores and other affiliate companies where you can earn from the products sold or from every sign-ups made under your referrals. I displayed several ads on this blog (SELaplana) that are considered as affiliate ads like the ads of Paypal, Performancing for Advertisers, Performancing for Publishers, YesAsia, etc.
Accepting Sponsors for the sponsored review or post. Actually, last year I was earning lots of Dollars from sponsors who paid me to write review of their products and services. I found those sponsors through the sponsored review ads broker such as SponsoredPosts, PayPerPost, ReviewMe, Blogitive, etc. What you need to do is to sign-up an account with them as blogger or publisher then add your blog to their systems. Once your blog is approved, then you can start accepting sponsored review and you’ll be paid for from $5 to $500 depending on your blog’s standing on Google’s PR, Subscribers’ number, Traffic, and other stats. And one thing that you should do is to follow the terms and policies of these brokers.

Now, you can learn a lot of things about reviewing the products and services if you’ll do it regularly at your blog. You can start reviewing your cellphones, and other gadgets you have, or the appliances you found at your home. And if you think you are now ready to accept sponsored review, then sign-up an account with the brokers I mentioned above and start earning dollars by writing sponsored reviews.

To compute how much is the income of each blog, the formula is just simple which is:� The PhP20,000/1M impressions simply means PhP0.02 per impressions. So based on their contributed impressions, their income would be:

Blog 1 =� 500,000 impressions (PhP 0.02 / impressions) and is equal to PhP10,000.00.

Blog 2 = 30,000 impressions (PhP 0.02/impressions) and is equal to PhP600.00

Blog 3 = 25,000 impresssions (PhP 0.02/impressions) and is equal to PhP500.00.

And so on to completely distribute the PhP20,000.00.

The percentage and the price per 1M impressions illustrated above are not the actual number. The above is just an illustration for you to understand how thebloggers earn money from their blogs through blog bank.

What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money-That the Poor and the Middle Class Do Not!

Robert T. Kiyosaki wrote a book that tells us the things that the rich dad teaches his kids about money and that the poor dad doesn’t. This book is just one of the “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” collection of books written by Mr. Kiyosaki.

About the Book

I haven’t yet bought and read the content of the book. But I am planning to buy it. I first heard about the “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” books of Mr. Kiyosaki through the blog of Tyrone.
Here’s a review of a satisfied buyer of this book through Amazon.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is a life changing book that is why this incredible book has been a best seller now for over 8 years and is still in the top 20 of all books being sold right now.
Kiyosaki will tell you some things you don’t want to hear. He is controversial. So is Donald Trump. Rich people are always controversial, but who are the people that make Kiyosaki and others controversial? Certaintly it’s not the wealthy. The wealthy agree with Kiysosaki becuase that is how they became rich.
Kiyosaki tells us that a house is not an asset. I have to admit that I had a problem with that one myself. I a lways felt that real estate was the one safe have out there and like most, was taught by parents and other early mentors that a house is an asset. Then I got a house and found out that Kiyosaki is absolutely right and so were my mentors. A house is not an asset for the buyers, people like you and me but it certaintly is an asset for the banks, real estate agents, insurance people, the local government who wack you with high city taxes and so on.
The biggest problem is that many people think that a big house is a symbol of wealth. It is a symbol of wealth to the bank. Most people typically take out 30 year mortgages. How much do you think banks make on that while you are paying for the equalivent of three house payments over time?
Conventional wisdom tells us to get a great education and you’ll get a great job. Well it started in the Clinton era and has been escalating ever since – downsizing. People who spent tons of $$$ on a college education, invested years in their jobs being servants to their employers and for what, to be downsized?
And then there is the typical way that people invest. Conventional wisdom tries to tell us that we can’t do it on our own. We need brokers (so named because they make us broker with their advice) or other financial advice. Those who do try it on their own usually get bad advice and go to deep, deep discount brokers looking for the lowest commissions or on the other end pay fees for loaded mutual funds which are supposed to be better managed (HINT: They are not!)
Kiyosaki offers a newer, better, more effective way. Unfortunately like some others who have come before him, Kiyosaki has stepped on some toes, the very people who are using your ignorance for their bliss.
Rich Dad Poor Dad is a life changing book. It is highly recommend for anyone who really wants to survive the new millennium.

I bought this book earlier tonite and read it in a few hours. It is an easy read. Fun. Enjoyable and educational. It made me realize that I threw away many years of commonality, of doing what felt good. So, if you blogging about “Food” for example, just make sure that the content of your blog are relevant to your blog’s topic, so that those internet users who came from the search of pinay scandal and are interested in food will stay in your blog longer by reading your blog’s content.

Exchange Linking Problem

Just like what I told you in my article, “Making Your Exchange Linking Campaign in Natural Profile,” exchange linking is one of the SEO techniques that Google hates so much. And this kind of SEO writing campaign can be considered a link exchange scheme in the sense that every participating blogposts establish links to the other participating blogs.
So, if Google detects and noticed that this blogposts participated a linking scheme, Google might impose a penalty or if not Google will just give no PR value of the links coming from the participating blogposts.
I couldn’t say that the Pinay Scandal SEO writing program or SEO campaign is the main reason why the visible PR value or the toolbar PR value of this blog has been reduced to zero because only few of the participating blogs got the PR of zero.
Besides with that, I also noticed that there are participating blogs that are not existing anymore. And there are SEO gurus who said that linking to the non-existing websites or blogs can cause side effect. I don’t know if it’s true but it is better to check for the dead links to avoid any negative effects.
